The Real Immigration Issue

Being a first generation American I have an appreciation for the immigration issue and it's complexities. Although at the end of the day I feel that many of problems in immigration isn't immigration but the struggle over remaining resource in a economy that is getting weaker and weaker everyday from a growing government. So in a debate at RonPaulForums.com about immigration I had this to say:

Correlation is not causation, there are two main problems economically with
the current state of immigration.

1) The Welfare State - due to having a welfare state
citizens and non-citizens are becoming more and more a drain on taxpaying
citizens and non-citizens... you have to dismantle the welfare system. The
solution to this issue is a supply response, not a demand response. As long as
there is a supply of government services, there will be a demand for it whether
it's domestic or foreign. We must dismantle the supply of government services
which taxpayers must pay for. Volunteered from private sources are encouraged
and a not a drain on those who choose not to volunteer their limited resources.
Also as far as immigration goes, these types of programs attract probably the
wrong people. If you have no welfare system there is no incentive for anyone to
immigrate unless it's to be productive and to have the opportunity to be
productive.

2) Growing Public Sector, Shrinking Private Sector - Due
to unions and a growing state the amount of public sector jobs have increased
which have very rigid wages, they don't go down, and they always go up. This
growing sector has consumed the amount of private sector jobs who have more
elastic wages that can adjust to changes in the supply of labor and demand for
the goods produced. Shrink the public sector, the private sector will grow
enough and be vibrant enough to handle immigration. With the growth in labor
there is a growth in demand for goods to offset it in a healthy free market
economy.

In countries where open borders have had problematic effects have had large
governments and small private sectors. Prosperous countries like Switzerland
have multiple languages spoken. As far as assimilation, culture is constantly
changing on a daily basis, so to argue that there is some constant standard of
values, traditions that hasn't changed in perception or execution is an
idealistic delusion. The beauty of humanity is how it's culture changes one
generation to the next.

None of us talk with a 1920's accent or vocabulary or wear 60's attire
(without a sense of novelty). The world is constantly changing faster and
faster, you either diversify your outlook, knowledge and skills to adapt or get
lost in the changes. It's in this diversity of culture, ideas, and values where
innovation is conjured.

  1. We all assume that our government works for the interests of the people, but I am afraid this is far off the truth. We already know that the E-Verify was compromised by Sen. Harry Reid in the Senate, along with majority speaker Nancy Pelosi. Then we have Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Chuck Schumer who along with Sen. John McCain who are pushing for a mass AMNESTY. Now that E-Verify has gained tremendous public recognition, business momentum in using this data base.

The E-Verify system has continually harassed by all the open border organizations, as it verifies who can work and who can be rejected from applying for a job? Unable to uncouple the usage of E-Verify that is now flooding millions of companies, the government lawmakers inflicted hysteria, by hiring an outside contractor Westat, to diagnose its actual capabilities and reporting back to Homeland Security. It wasn't completely foolproof? E-Verify could not reveal illegal aliens using bogus ID documents but it was working. So whether as an intentional distraction or not, to mislead the majority of honest businesses doing the right thing. Sen. Chuck Schumer suddenly unleashed yet another creation the biometric Identification card? It would rescind the E-Verify program and whether intentional or not, the National ID biometric card, was to replace the program.

With the news of an Arizona Rancher shot to death, with his dog, John McCain seemingly to have changed his mind somewhat, demanding that the National Guard be rushed to the border. Even Governor Richardson an ardent supporter of illegal immigration has ordered his National Guard to be established along his state border. So why has not Governor Schwarzenegger ordered his detachment of National Guard, to his border as the--SANCTUARY CALIFORNIA is in desperate financial assistance. California a refuge for illegal aliens contrary to the sovereign laws of this nation, cannot afford any longer under its Sacramento Liberal-Socialist Assembly to offer illegal alien families substantial welfare benefits. For decades nothing has been done, because most legislators are scare to death of changing the laws on entitlements.

Few companies and communities have had the nerve to display the E-Verify sign in its windows and those who are not using this application should be boycotted specially in California. In fact any worker who identify suspicious labor should contact ICE.

  2. You can put unemployed Americans back to work if you start using this database to pressure employers in your local area to use E-Verify. Yes, you as an individual citizen you will find the E-Verify data base on NUMBERSUSA. You don't have to wait on Congress to pass the SAVE Act. Look for businesses that appear to be hiring illegal aliens, check their database and then start building the public shame that the business is keeping open the option to hire illegal aliens over U.S. workers. NUMBERSUSA have the entire E-Verify database on our website at http://www.numbersusa.com/content/enforcement/workplace-verification.html You can look up any business, non-profit or government to see if it is using E-Verify to ensure that jobs go to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants. Read the specific instructions on how to go about this information, which allows you to do something for the unemployed.
There should be a bounty on every business, that have hired many workers who have no legal documentation of legal status, as they are stealing jobs. Americans should bare-down on all lawmakers, Governors, Mayors and all elected officers who shown their betrayal of the millions of legal workers, still searching for a job, when 8 million illegal foreigners who have work. THEY SHOULD BE REMEMBERED IN EVERY FORTHCOMING ELECTION? If foreign nationals violate the law crossing illegally into this nation, they certainly have nothing to lose by voting in the Midterm elections? Let's face it, if the morons in Washington are going to enumerate foreign national families in the 2010 Decennial Census who violated our immigration laws to come here, nothing will stop criminals from voting. Perhaps the inception of the "TEA PARTY" movement has an agenda to stop this absolute travesty of our immigration enforcement and the US Constitution.

NO MORE AMNESTIES, MAKE E-VERIFY PERMANENT , FULLY FUND 287 (G) FOR LOCAL POLICE AND RESUME EXPANDED ICE RAIDS.
